Research
Our research program deals with the design and synthesis of pi-conjugated molecules, including nanographenes, non-benzenoid aromatics and diradical compounds. We are also interested in the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials, including graphene, from low-temperature processes using simple carbon feedstock.
Diradical compounds
In this project, we are developing new carbon scaffolds exhibiting diradical character. The goal is to better understand what governs the formation of diradical and to develop new strategies to stabilize the radicals.

Non-benzenoid Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds
In this project, we aim to develop new non-benzenoid polycyclic aromatic molecules to study their properties, including reactivity and aromaticity. Polymers based on azulene are also prepare to disperse graphene and carbon nanotubes.
